How to Use the Time Card Calculator

This free time card calculator helps employees and employers track weekly work hours and calculate gross pay.

  1. Enter your Time In and Time Out for each day you worked. Use 24-hour format or AM/PM selection if available.
  2. Enter any unpaid Break duration in minutes (e.g., 30 for lunch).
  3. The calculator automatically totals your daily hours.
  4. Enter your Hourly Rate to see your estimated gross pay.
  5. Overtime is automatically calculated for any hours exceeding 40 hours per week (standard US federal rule).

Note on Overtime:

This calculator uses the standard "weekly overtime" rule (anything over 40 hours/week). Some states (like California) calculate overtime daily (any hours over 8 hours/day).

Tips

  • Enter the dimensions in the same unit for consistency.
  • Results update automatically as you type.
  • Use the unit selector to convert between different measurement systems.
