For LED Walls & Digital Signage. Calculate density and viewing distance.
Pixel Pitch is fundamentally the resolution density of large format LED displays. It dictates how close an audience can stand to the screen before the individual LEDs become visible.
Pixel Pitch is the distance between the center of one pixel (LED cluster) to the center of the next. It is measured in millimeters (e.g., P3.9, P2.5).
Lower pixel pitch means higher resolution and sharper images, allowing for closer viewing distances. However, lower pitch screens are significantly more expensive.
A common rule of thumb for LED walls is that the optimal viewing distance in meters matches the pixel pitch number. A P10 screen looks good from 10 meters away.
