Percentage Difference

Formula

Percentage Difference = (|Value₁ - Value₂| / ((Value₁ + Value₂)/2)) × 100

Steps:

  1. Calculate absolute difference: |Value₁ - Value₂|
  2. Calculate average: (Value₁ + Value₂) ÷ 2
  3. Divide difference by average and multiply by 100

Examples

Compare 100 and 120:

|100-120| = 20, Average = 110, Difference = 18.18%

Compare 50 and 70:

|50-70| = 20, Average = 60, Difference = 33.33%
