Discount FAQ
How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage (as a decimal). Subtract this amount from the original price.
What is 20% off 100?
20% of 100 is 20. So the final price is 100 - 20 = 80.
How do I calculate double discounts (e.g. 20% off plus an extra 10% off)?
First take 20% off the original price. Then take 10% off the *new* price. It is NOT simply adding them together (30%). For example: 100 - 20% = 80. Then 80 - 10% (8) = 72.
