The number of bricks depends on wall area, brick size, and mortar joint thickness. A standard wall uses approximately 7 bricks per square foot with 1/2" mortar joints.
Bricks break during handling and cutting. A 10% waste factor is standard for most projects. Complex designs with many cuts may require 15% or more.
